Our Solution: Relationship-Based Street Outreach That Reconnects People to Community

At Billy’s Way Home, we believe that any meaningful conversation about homelessness must begin on the streets. That is where we meet those who have been deposed, dismissed, and forgotten, people who have lost not only shelter, but also their sense of community, connection, and belonging.

Homelessness is not only the absence of a home, it is the total erosion of a person’s social fabric. Once disconnected from social networks....people struggle to regain a foothold. Isolation sets in. Relationships fall away. Stigma becomes a daily burden. Many of those we serve tell us stories about being dehumanized and pushed further to the margins due to mental health challenges, substance use disorders, or simply because they are unhoused.
