WHY WE BEGAN

Billy's Way Home began out of heartbreak and loss when our beloved family member passed away on 4/10/21. Billy lived on the streets of Arizona for many years. Many of the homeless knew him. He was actually a bit of a "celebrity" due to his 6"5 stature. piercing blue eyes and Southern charm. He was lovingly referred to as Hillbilly. Out of our loss came the desire to help those who live as Billy did. Billy had a family that loved him and wanted him home. Many do not have that and those are the hardest stories to hear. We want them to feel cared for and not invisible.

The people on the streets are SO much more than a "homeless addict". They are beloved family members. Billy was a son, father, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, friend....
